Transport
Most trips depart from the club garage at 31 Sandringham Road, Mt Eden (see the map below). For day trips heading west and south, there is typically a further pick-up point along the way for your convenience (see maps below for travelling west or south). In some circumstances, if you live further along the route taken, you can contact the leader to arrange an alternative pick-up point to join the trip.
The pickup time for your trip will be advertised in the trip schedule. Day trips generally depart from the club garage at 8:30 am, and rendezvous at the second pick up point at 8:45 am.
The club bus, "Big Blue" can carry up to 39 people.
Fares range from $6 to $20 for day trips, and more for weekend trips, depending on distance travelled.
When the bus is away on weekend or longer trips, trampers car-pool for day trips, making a similar donation to the driver.
The bus converts to a sleeper (by folding the seating down) for up to 21 people.
