Discuss your intended trip with the leader first, and make booking arrangements with them, or as published.
Xmas trips for 2009-2010
As usual, the bus will leave on the evening of 26 December and will arrive in Queenstown on 28 December. People flying to Queenstown should arrive by 1.00pm.
Stage 1/Interim handover will be on 10 January at 1.00pm at Queenstown airport. Those leaving Stage 1 should arrange flights after 1.00pm and those arriving should be at Queenstown by 1.00pm.
The Interim/Safari handover will be on 31 January, also at Queenstown airport at 1.00pm.

Xmas Trip — Main group (Stage 1)
The main Xmas trip will be in Mt Aspiring National Park. All parties will start in or near Makarora.
Rob Mckay’s party: Young, Gillespie Pass, Wilkin, Rabbit Pass to the East Matukituki with side trips to some lakes. This trip is full.
Mike Heilbron’s party
Trip 1: Wilkin-Young + Lake Crucible (5 days).
Trip 2: Brewster Hut and Mt Armstrong (3 days).
The bus will move from the Makarora area to the Matukituki after the first 8 days.
Trip 3: Matukituki to Shotover Saddle and explore, maybe Rob Roy Stream too (4 days).

Interim trips January 2010
Everyone starting these trips needs to be at Queenstown Airport by 1.00pm on Sunday, 10 January.
NOTE NEW TRIP starting 18 January (see below).
Trip 1, 11–15 January
From Glenorchy: Rees/Dart circuit for five days. Leader: Graeme McGowan, ph 523 2652
On 16 January the club bus will travel to Makarora, picking up people in Queenstown as necessary.
Possible Trip 1B (if there is interest and a leader), 11–15 January
From Glenorchy: Greenstone and Routeburn. Please contact Graeme McGowan, ph 523 2652, if you are interested in this alternative to Trip 1, and if you are prepared to lead the trip.
Trip 2, 17–23 January
From Glenorchy: The five-pass trip, and back to Glenorchy. Public transport.

Trip 3, 17–23 January
Young/Wilkin circuit including Top Forks and Kerin Forks Hut.

NEW TRIP: A 5-day trip on the Wilkin/Young circuit — you may fly to Queenstown by 11.00am on 18 January and join leader. Leader: Keith Ayton, ph 630 7010
On 24 January the bus will be in Wanaka for a rest day. Those joining/leaving will need public transport.
Trip 4, 25–30 January
Matukituki Valley area and up to Lake Lochnagar.

Possible Trip 5, 25–29 January
Motatapu Track from Glendhu Bay/Fern Burn Rd through to Arrowtown. Public transport back to Queenstown.
Leader: TBA
On 31 January the bus will travel back to Queenstown airport for the Safari handover.
Safari — February 2010
Bus pickup at Queenstown Airport, 1.00pm 31 January. Stay five nights at Glenorchy Holiday Park, depart 5 February. Stay four nights at Wanaka Lake View Holiday Park, depart 9 February. Stay three nights at Twizel, either Parklands Alpine Tourist Park or McKenzie Units, depart 12 February. Stay five nights at Ashley Gorge Holiday Park, Oxford, depart 17 February to Christchurch Airport for a noon drop-off. The itinerary with details of tracks is available by phoning ph 377 7627.
